ZZyZx WriterZ
& The Poets Band
We float in that midpoint between nothingness and inspiration. We are a family of creative misfits. ZZyZx is a diverse group of writers from all over Los Angeles. Since 2011, we have been crushing the homogenous writing group paradigm. We have published three anthologies, hosted a myriad of events across Southern California, produced open mics, poetry hikes, and writing workshops called Word Arounds. We collaborate with several arts collectives, bands, and other organizations on projects year-round. Our latest collaboration is with The Poets Band who accompany us on our poetry. Our current creative project is a podcast, ZZyZx SundaZe on SoundCloud where we showcase local literary and musical voices.

Let me evaporate into the nothingness I was before you
Shards of you hidden up my sleeve
With you is where I have my scars
Because there isn’t there anymore because I am here
We’re all we’ve got
No one to sing out, “Honey, don’t leave LA”
A constant reminder the town never forgot,
Thoughts meandering next to bliss
And splash this world with our own existence!
