Pink and
Bue Marble Ice Cream
Do I really want to leave this world
and miss the marble ice cream?
The cream cheese layered sushi rolls
we pick up near Sawtelle?
I crave bright orange uni
wrapped carefully in seaweed
those heavenly cucumber fans
so thin and crispy
that run pale green with a purple streak,
the heated wine, in tiny cups,
we alternately pour,
then clink.
And things we love
mean nothing to me
without you laughing
at the moon
beside me.
