You Before You

you traverse the wilderness stars
with your night knitting tools
unspool a skein of moon
til left a crescent

at once you gather loops of light
cinched by slipknot
a woven dream
tucked in my nesting sleep

I find you in the keeping
you    before    you
before your sacred crowning

your fragile wings
stirs the tide
I  wade through
awaiting your swim to shore

first light
threads your ebon curl
your dress of blue sky
s h i m m e r i n g

how the sun chimes your iridescence
I am rooted
in the glow of your grace
